Fairview Avenue to First Avenue

Design work is underway on the Trunk Sewer Replacement Project on Talbot Street, between First Avenue to Fairview Avenue. The Talbot Street Trunk Sewer Replacement Project has been prioritized to provide needed improvements to the truck sanitary sewer which are critical for servicing the Yarmouth Yards Industrial Development.

Improvements to Talbot Street, between First Avenue and Fairview Avenue, are planned within the project area shown in the image below.

This project has been separated into six stages to ensure that Talbot Street will remain open to traffic throughout the project.

• Stage 1 – Talbot Street: First Ave to Smart Centre Intersection - South Side
• Stage 2 – Talbot Street: First Ave to Smart Centre Intersection – North Side
• Stage 3 – Talbot Street: Smart Centre Intersection to Fairview Ave – North Side
• Stage 4 – Talbot Street: First Ave to Fairview Ave – South Side
• Stage 5 – Talbot Street: First Ave to Fairview Ave – Paving Operations North & South Side
• Stage 6 – Fairview Avenue: Completion of the 2025 Fairview Avenue Construction Project
